George Clooney Film Fest

You may have heard of George Clooney’s well know films “Good Night and Good Luck,” “O Brother, Where Are Thou?,” “Three Kings,” “The Perfect Storm,” “Ocean’s Eleven,” “Out of Sight” and “From Dusk Till Dawn,” “Syriana” and “Up In the Air,” but have you caught some of his more off-beat films of late?

In “The American,” he plays a stone cold killer, shooting his girlfriend within the first few minutes of the film.

The lesser known movie “Michael Clayton” finds him playing a burned out corporate lawyer.

The Coen Brothers’ hilarious “Burn Before Reading” features the dream cast of Clooney, Frances McDormand, Brad Pitt, Tilda Swinton, Richard Jenkins (Six Feet Under), and Steppenwolf ensemble member John Malkovich.

“The Men Who Stare At Goats,” a political satire, affords him the role of a hopped up “warrior monk” along with Ewan McGregor, Jeff Bridges and Kevin Spacey. He’s even lent his voice to the delightful animated feature “Fantastic Mr. Fox.”

And then there’s “The Good German.” Hey, you can’t run a home run every time at bat.
