Two Documentaries of Note

Check out the treasure trove of documentaries on netflix including these two of note.

“Bill Cunningham New York” profiles the quirky photographer who captures the street fashion photos seen in the Sunday New York Times. You want to hug this man and thank him for chronicling the ever-changing array of female and male attire found on the streets of New York.

“Hey Boo: Harper Lee and To Kill a Mockingbird” depicts the woman behind one of American literature’s most beloved works. Her friendship with Truman Capote has led to speculation that he was the author of “Mockingbird” but the interviews and research shown in the documentary refute that claim. Clips from the marvelous film version of the book entice one to watch the classic anew. Watch for Harper Lee’s nonagenarian sister who still practices law.
