Trader Joe’s Chocolate and Mustard

My sister and I frequently swap tips on Trader Joe food products. Two items new to me get the big thumbs up. Mustard Miscellany is a variety pack of four flavored mustards with “Trader Jacques” and “A Meditation on Dijon” amusingly printed on the packaging. The four mustards are indeed products of France including the flavors Basil, Provencal, Chablis and Blackcurrant, all having white wine, real mustards seeds and herbs. The four-pack medley is just $6.99 making each 7 ounce bottle just under two dollars. The product is listed as a gift pack, but here’s hoping Trader Joe’s features this winner year-round. What an inexpensive way to spice up your sandwiches or make your own distinctive dressing adding olive oil and vinegar!

Trader Joe’s always has a nice selection of chocolates, but they just came out with “Mini 70% Cacao Dark Chocolate Bars” made with Super Smooth Belgian Chocolate and lightly sweetened with beet sugar. The mini bars also come in Milk Chocolate. Each bar is only 100 calories and really satisfies a rich chocolate craving without busting the calorie bank. A box of five bars is only $1.99. Two Buck Chuck (Charles Shaw shiraz wine) is now over two dollars, but you can still find delicious bargains at Trader Joe’s for under two buckaroos.
