I have kept the list to television programs not in English and have viewed at least one episode of all of these selections. Most programs are crime dramas, but some have political or historical themes. Several shows are available for streaming. DVD purchase or rental only are noted.
Be careful when ordering from Amazon to make sure the DVD platform you are purchasing is something you can play and that there are English subtitles. Universal DVD players that play all world regions are now available at some international electronics stores (in Chicago in the Indian neighborhood on Devon) or online.
MHZ relaunches its streaming service later this year. Availability of shows changes continually on all of these platforms so I will try to do a review in six months. Here’s hoping that more shows become available for streaming.
