Elizabeth’s original compositions (music, and in many cases, also lyrics) span a wide array of formats — from solo cabaret and jazz pieces, to art songs and full theatre musicals.
She, as well as scores of other singers, has performed her original works at venues ranging from the Chicago Humanities Festival and the Park West, Drury Lane/Water Tower, Baliwick and Victory Gardens theatres in Chicago, to Preston Bradley Hall in Chicago and The Paradiso in Amsterdam, Holland.
Elizabeth is also the composer of several musicals which have been produced and showcased around the country, including the prestigious Disney/ASCAP New Musical Workshop in Los Angeles and several Chicago locations such as Steppenwolf Theatre, Theatre Wit and the Athenaeum Theatre.

Alice In Analysis
An updated version of Lewis Carroll’s “Alice In Wonderland.” Alice is now divorced with a daughter who is contemplating the rabbit hole. (Co-written with playwright/lyricist Jon Steinhagen.)
An original musical about architect Daniel Burnham and the 1893 Chicago Colombian Exposition. (Co-written with playwright/lyricist June Finfer. Full production premiered June 2018 at Theater Wit, Chicago.)
Two-person musical about marriage. (Co-written with librettist Bill Thomas. Directed by Steppenwolf’s Bob Breuler.)
Fat Tuesday
Set in current day New Orleans during Mardi Gras, the cast of characters is letting the good times roll while dealing with separation, illness and loss. (Co-written with playwright/lyricist Tim Pelton.)
Musical adaptation of Washington Irving’s classic legend. (Written with playwright Judy Freed and lyricist Own Kalt. This musical has been featured at the Disney/ASCAP Workshop in Los Angeles, plus two full regional productions. The Theatre Hikes production in Chicago broke attendance records. Recorded score accompaniment will be available for rental or purchase, soon.)
Treasure Island
Musical adaptation of the classic Robert Louis Stevenson novel. (Co-written with playwright/lyricist Francesca Peppiatt.)
The Virginian
A faithful adaptation of the Owen Wister work of the same name. (Co-written with playwright Don Abramson and lyricist Own Kalt. Commissioned by Theatre Building Chicago and featured in “Stages 2000,” a Chicago summer festival of new works.}
